Life Safety Officer – Full Time (Horseshoe LV)
We are looking for a Life Safety Officer (LSO) who will provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.
Job SummaryThe Life Safety Officer’s main function is to protect guests and assets, enforce company policies, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as needed. The LSO will patrol assigned areas, assist guests, detect suspicious activity, and coordinate with security dispatch.

Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of prior security experience preferred.
- Direct guest contact experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency.
- Flexible to work any day of the week and shift.
- Must possess a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
- Must maintain a current Basic Emergency Medical Technician (BEMT) certification with the State of Nevada (Southern Nevada Health District EMS).
- Must maintain a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
- Patrol property to ensure guest and team member safety.
- Assist guests, provide directions, and handle inquiries with professionalism.
- Respond to medical/emergency calls and perform first aid/CPR as needed; document incidents.
- Enforce company policies, gaming laws, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Interview, investigate, and document incidents requiring security intervention.
- Assist law‑enforcement and civil authorities, including court testimony.
- Restock trauma and emergency supplies, inspect AED and oxygen.
- Attend to dispatched medical or security calls promptly.
- Comply with Nevada Gaming laws concerning slot, pit poker, etc.
- Follow “Use of Force” guidelines and arrest protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports with photographic evidence and witness statements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with departmental policies.
- Support leadership by modeling professional behavior and teamwork.
- Professional appearance with good hygiene.
- Team‑centered and leadership skills.
- Ethical conduct and confidentiality.
- Strong communicator, active listener.
- Decision‑making in high‑risk crises.
- Respectful of diverse backgrounds and cultures.

- Work inside/outside; temperatures from 10°F to >115°F.
- Restrain adults up to 200+ pounds.
- Respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
- Perform stooping, bending, carrying up to 60 lbs; push/pull up to 150 lbs.
- Observe and recall incident details; provide accurate reports.
- Endure secondhand smoke, high noise, bright lights, and dust.
- Pass physical and written testing of the Las Vegas Region Security Academy within 90 days.
Security Corporal, Security Shift Sergeant, Security Shift Lieutenant, Security Shift Captain/Manager, Security Department Assistant Director/Manager, and Director of Security & Surveillance.
