Security Officer; Unarmed

Overview

Summary:

Demonstrate superior customer service skills by helping with guest needs and to provide for the general safety and security of guest, employees and company assets.

• Provide protection for all employees and guests of the casino and its assets.
• Guard and provide physical transportation of all transfers of money and tokens on the casino floor including hopper fills, chip fills and credits.
• Patrol all areas of the property including the casino, hotel towers, pool areas, stairwells and all areas to which advised.
• Be alert for minors in the gaming areas and verify proof of age.
• Assist guest with room keys, escorts and any questions and inquiries.
• Respond to reports of guest and employee injuries or illness.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations.
• Direct and assist in evacuation during emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous security, law enforcement, military and/or EMT experience preferred
• CPR/AED certification preferred
• Required Work Cards:

• Gaming

• Walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, continuously standing, climbing, and working indoors (more than 75% of the time)
• Working outdoors, running, jogging, wearing protective clothing (less than 25% of the time)
• Hearing, vision, speech and literacy (critical)
• Ability to work in smoky and noisy environment
• Ability to communicate vocally utilizing portable radios (critical)
