Summary :
Responsible for the successful security surveillance review, communication, and deployment of security officers as necessary to respond to calls for aid and/or other assistance. Reviews and records footage requests.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Watches cameras and monitors surveillance within the scope of Security responsibility.
- Downloads footage using digital recording equipment as needed or requested.
- Works closely with the property Surveillance department to track suspicious or unusual activity.
- Reports suspicious or unusual activity to property Security personnel for further investigation.
- Captures and prints photos from the monitoring system.
- Remains familiar with the property layout and locations of alarm systems.
- Directs responding units immediately to active alarms.
- Has working knowledge of smoke control panels for manual operation if required.
- Collaborates with law enforcement and courts in response to subpoenas.
- Assists Risk Management and Human Resources with investigations.
- Maintains visitors logs and badges.
- Tracks bio-hazard events.
- Handles hot works permits and red tag procedures.
- Manages and maintains security and engineering equipment.
- Distributes checks and W2 forms.
- Ensures compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, policies, Title 31, and federal regulations.
- Assists with the Casino Security Officer duties as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in casino security, law enforcement, surveillance, military, or EMT roles.
- Ability to read and understand tabular status displays for elevators during emergencies.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Proven judgment and decision-making skills in challenging situations.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and write routine reports.
- Effective communication skills in small and large groups, including agencies.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate via radios.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and codes, including the Las Vegas Fire Department regulations.
- Ability to stay calm during emergencies and coordinate activities.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold for extended periods.
- No fear of heights.
- Ability to jog or run as needed.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Good vision, hearing, speech, and literacy skills.
- Ability to sit for over 75% of the time, with occasional movement on the casino floor.
- Maintain focus on details for sustained periods.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Work environment includes smoky, noisy, dark indoor conditions.
