Security officer K9:
This position will ensure safety and security to Resorts World property utilizing K9. K9 Handlers will respond to potential emergency situations, medical incidents, disturbances on property.

• Maintain the health and safety of Resorts World K9
• Maintain the upkeep of K-9 Kennels and Transportation Kennel
• Respond to unattended packages and alert security management if needed
• Respond to emergency situations
• Work closely with law enforcement personnel to ensure safety of the property
• Prepare written incident reports and documentation
• Operate company vehicles
• Complete a 40hr Security Academy within 30 days of hire
• Pass quarterly K-9 training and yearly certification
• Manage radio calls / emergency calls
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job‑related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested

• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and black‑outs

• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting
• Military / K‑9 handler experience

• Minimum high school diploma
• At least 21 years old
• 2 years previous K‑9 handling experience

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to obtain the following:
  • Nevada Gaming Registration
  • Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Nevada Driver’s License
  • CPR

• Must be physically fit enough to pick up K‑9 in any emergency
• Must be able to sprint and run under emergency situation with K‑9
• Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality
• Prolonged standing/walking
• Bending and reaching
• Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs
• Eye/hand coordination
• Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions

• Everyone works in Guest Experience – if a guest needs assistance, it is your responsibility to assist that guest and do so with a smile; if the guest needs more assistance than you can provide, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual
