Fire Alarm Inspection Technician at Western States Fire Protection (WSFP). WSFP specializes in Life Safety Systems and has been protecting lives and property since 1985. Our values are integrity, quality, safety, professionalism and commitment.
Location:
Las Vegas, NV
- Perform inspections, testing, services and preventative maintenance of life safety and fire suppression equipment
- Handle low voltage wiring and related devices for the operation of low voltage equipment
- Operate with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator about inspection status, delays and requirements
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator and Office staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client
- Train apprentices on company procedures, system inspection and report accuracy
- Comply with all company Safety standards and policies
- Willing to work nights and weekends, as needed
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a fire alarm technician
- NSFM F Card
- Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
- Strong working knowledge of alarm panels, devices and critical components
- Valid driver’s license per company policy
- Clean appearance and reliable transportation per company Health & Safety Pocketbook
- Must pass drug screen, background check and reference check
- Able to complete documentation as necessary; proficient with iPads and required programs
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and the general public
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
