Job Overview
Although there is a salary range for this position, the candidate hired into this position will be hired at the bottom of the salary range. This recruitment will be used to establish an open competitive and promotional eligibility list that may be used to fill this vacancy and vacancies occurring in this classification for a minimum period of six (6) months.

Non-Exempt (FLSA STATUS). May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical RequirementsAbility to perform maintenance, construction and related work, including operating hand and power equipment; stamina to stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds with proper equipment; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Accommodations may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodations.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the building electrical facilities and systems.
- Monitor the performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for facilities; perform standard repair/replacement of components as appropriate.
- Monitor and perform maintenance of plumbing systems for facilities.
- Assist with oversight of contracted services.
- Perform carpentry maintenance tasks for facilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of building operational systems.
- Operate computer hardware and associated software applications.
- May perform general maintenance, custodial and trash removal tasks as required.
- Drive vehicle to work sites and transport materials and supplies as required.
- Maintain records of activities performed and materials utilized and replenish supplies.
- All other duties assigned.
- Education and Experience
:
Equivalent to high school diploma/GED and two (2) years of journey-level experience in one or more of the trades. - Licensing and Certification
:
Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at time of application. - Medical Examination
:
Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician. A pre‑employment drug test is part of the examination. - Background Investigation

Employment is contingent upon the results of a comprehensive education/experience background investigation, a criminal history record, and driving history check.
