POSITION OVERVIEW
An Electric Shop Engineer is responsible for administering repairs and improvements to an already great property. Attention to detail and ability to contribute to a diverse team will ensure the functionality of our resort and the safety and satisfaction of every guest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Perform mechanical, groundskeeping, and interior and exterior maintenance for the resort
- Intimate knowledge of electrical troubleshooting procedures
- Working knowledge of all electrical codes
- Use the appropriate meters to facilitate repairs on electronic equipment
- Ensure accurate record keeping
- Use proper safety procedures for high and low voltage
- Troubleshoot complex electronic problems and develop creative solutions
- Interface with tenants regarding their maintenance and housekeeping needs
- Follow schedules for repairs and preventive maintenance
- Ability to handle independent work responsibility and judgment
- Physical ability to access all areas of the property including Gaming locations
- Handle multiple tasks and works a variety of shifts necessary to complete assigned projects
- Immediately notify the department leader of any changes to the Nevada Driver’s License status
- Work closely with other departments on projects and tasks
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school
- At least three (3) years journeyman electrician experience for a large, luxury resort
- Advanced knowledge of electrical procedures, trends, safety, maintenance, systems, and equipment
- Strong knowledge of all electrical systems, low and high voltage
- General knowledge of all construction phases and local building and safety codes
- Skilled in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence
- Beginner skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- General knowledge of all construction phases and local building and safety codes
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents including blueprints
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from Team Members and/or guests
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and other outside contacts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
