Mobile Diesel MechanicGet with Spiffy and go mobile! As part of our fleet servicing crew as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you’ll travel between locations, servicing light to medium diesel vehicle fleets (i.e. MB Sprinters, Ford F‑250 to F‑650, Isuzu NPRs and similar), depending on the client. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing vehicles while ensuring compliance and keeping a line of communication open between customers and internal teams.

Candidate must have automotive fleet experience.
What’s in it for you?Competitive Weekly Pay Range $30‑$40 an hour (full time—at least 30 hours, non‑flat rate).
Shift
: 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Mon‑Fri (no decrease in hourly rate when driving from site to site during the workday).
On‑site shop worksite, company vans provided when mobile.

- Perform mobile diagnostics, multi‑point inspections and repairs on fleet gas/diesel engines and related components.
- Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining services performed, and recommending additional maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and repair manuals such as Pro Demand.
- Proven experience as a gas and diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of light to medium to heavy‑duty vehicle systems and components.
- Must supply your own basic tools.
- Must be patient, persistent, and possess problem‑solving skills, especially when it comes to challenging repairs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software (diagnostics on Internationals, Hino, Freightliners, over‑the‑road trucks, trailers).
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive; CDL preferred.
- Tractor‑trailer experience preferred.
- ASE certification(s) (shows you went above and beyond your work experience to gain more industry knowledge).
- Previous diesel experience in a mobile capacity (you’ve been exposed to different servicing sites, are adaptable to your surroundings, and enjoy being on the go during your workday).

This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt and exhaust fumes.
Physical Demands- Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move inventory items and other work‑related items (up to 50 pounds).
- Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, lift, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head‑neck‑shoulders as needed, climb steps, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the day.
