Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

The Carpenter is responsible for performing both rough and finish carpentry, involving cutting, shaping, planning, and fastening together pieces of wood and other materials.

Role and Responsibilities:

(Includes but is not limited to the following)

* Prepare the layout of the project.

* Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.

* Select materials.

* Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.

* Work with materials such as wood, plastic, or drywall.

* Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.

* Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.

* Work on top of scaffolding, ladders

* Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.

* Build stairs, mantles, and furniture.

* Install cabinets and molding.

* Replace ceiling tiles, and doors.

* Install partitions, doors.

Additional Information

Experience Requirements

* 5+ years of carpentry experience

* 2+ years of head carpenter experience

Education Requirements

* High school diploma OR GED Equivalent.
