Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker

Social workers provide services that include a comprehensive psychosocial assessment, identification of problems and needs, supportive counseling, discharge planning, and assessment and facilitation relating to accessing resources. Additionally, they are responsible for a bereavement assessment of family members. Social workers are responsible for the development of a plan of care in conjunction with other interdisciplinary team members and regularly participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings.

They actively support and promote the hospice’s vision, mission and overall philosophy.

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Social Work approved by the Council on Social Work Education. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year supervised experience in the healthcare field or during a supervised internship.

• A current license to practice as a Social Worker in the State of Nevada.
• Must be a licensed driver and possess an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order. Must maintain a clean driving record.
• Hospice and Palliative Care Certification is preferred.
