Java Developer, Software Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Java Springboot lead developer for a Contract with a client in Las Vegas, NV. You will lead the design and development of high-performing microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Rate Range: $48/hour to $50/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Lead the design and development of Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs using Java 1.8, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for high-traffic, public-facing applications.
- Set coding standards and perform code reviews, driving quality through unit test coverage, debugging best practices, and continuous improvement of existing services.
- Architect data access and integration patterns leveraging SQL, No
SQL, messaging, and scripting to build robust, resilient backend jobs and services. - Collaborate with front-end teams (React) to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring responsive web design alignment (HTML5/CSS3) and seamless API contracts.
- Analyze legacy and current codebases to identify optimizations, refactor for maintainability, and drive defect resolution across environments.
- Manage source control and delivery workflows in Git, supporting CI/CD pipelines, Branching strategies, and release management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 10+ years overall IT experience with 6–10+ years in a lead development role.
- Strong expertise in Java 1.8, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, including building RESTful APIs for high-traffic applications.
- Hands-on experience with SQL/No
SQL databases, React framework, CI/CD practices, and responsive web design (HTML5/CSS3).

Pay Details: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour
