Teacher and Head Football Coach at Desert Oasis High School (Las Vegas, NV)

Role Description

This is an on-site role for an Assistant Football Coach at Desert Oasis High School (Clark County School District), located in Las Vegas, NV. The Assistant Football Coach will assist in planning and conducting team practices, strategizing and coordinating game plans, and mentoring student-athletes to enhance their skills, sportsmanship, and academic development. The role also involves supervising students' performance and behavior on and off the field, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Football Coaching and a thorough understanding of football techniques, rules, and strategies
  • Strong skills in Coaching and player development to motivate and mentor student-athletes effectively
  • Excellent Communication skills to facilitate clear instructions, feedback, and collaboration with athletes, staff, and parents
  • Experience in Training programs to improve players' skills, physical fitness, and team dynamics
  • A commitment to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and inclusivity within the team
  • Previous experience working with high school students is highly preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in education, sports management, or a related field is encouraged but not required
