This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Wildfire Resiliency Training Center. This is a grant‑funded term position.

Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Performs clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, photocopying, and electronic communications.
- Creates and tracks purchase requisitions and purchase orders for the department and associated grants.
- Supports the director and staff as well as contract instructors and other contract staff with academic and course delivery activities.
- Generates facility use requests, travel requests, and key requests.
- Assists students enrolling in WRTC classes that require additional paperwork.
- Coordinates and maintains staff and departmental records.
- Creates documents using Microsoft Office Suite and other related business software applications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good time management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and business software applications.
- Problem solving skills highly desirable.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The worker sits most of the time.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
- One to three years of administrative or clerical experience is required.
