This position instructs students toward practice/employment in a designed field of career and technical education studies.

• Prepare and deliver course descriptions, lesson plans, lectures, and laboratory work.
• Implement techniques to facilitate active student learning.
• Develop and grade assessments; create learning aids.
• Participate in curriculum development and outcome assessments.
• Assist in hiring and scheduling part-time instructors.
• Supervise, advise, and tutor students; monitor student progress.
• Operate equipment and perform related work in the field of CTE.
• Coordinate student tutoring and participate in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Establish industry linkages and participate in committees and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Adult learning theories, curriculum development, classroom and lab techniques.
• Advising methods, research methodologies, supervisory and coaching principles.
• Supervision of students in work experience settings.

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; standing at least 70% of the time.
• Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcribing, computer work, reading, and inspection.
• May require evening and weekend work.
• Generally not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

• Certification in furniture and/or cabinet making with 2 years of practice or 5 years of experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
