The Community Education Instructor designs and delivers classes across a variety of subjects, ensuring instruction is safe and complies with Luna Community College standards. This role supports the college’s long‑term course offerings to the community.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging instruction in the listed subject areas, ensuring all instruction is safe and compliant
- Subject areas include:
Fiber Arts, Sewing, Quilting;
Hospitality;
Art/Drawing;
Book Study Groups;
Culinary or Cooking Classes;
Fitness/Exercise Classes
- Expertise in the subject matter being taught (e.g., Cooking, Fitness, Arts, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication and instructional skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of community members
- Expertise or experience necessary to teach the specific course subject
- Required Certifications for Specific Classes:
- • Culinary or Cooking Classes: current Serv Safe certification at time of application
- • Fitness/Exercise Classes: certified in the specific specialty (e.g., Yoga, Zumba) and hold a current First Aid/CPR card at time of application

- Employment and Course Structure Changes (effective January 2025):
