Overview

Las Vegas, NM - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) licensed in New Mexico to provide direct care within contracted Skilled Nursing Facilities.

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

• Part-time available (can grow to full time)
• W2 Billable Model or 1099 Independent Contractor Rates
• As a provider with BHS, you will have the freedom to create your own schedule, days of the week preferred.

• Licensed in New Mexico by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees).
• 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
• Excellent written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
