The Staff Pad is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinic Services in Las Vegas, New Mexico
. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about both patient care and team coordination. The Lead RN will provide high-quality, compassionate clinical care while overseeing daily nursing operations within the clinic. This role partners closely with providers and clinic leadership to ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient outcomes.
The Lead RN serves as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, supporting best practices, patient safety, and continuous improvement across the clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care while overseeing clinical operations and nursing workflows within the clinic.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, serving as a clinical resource and point of escalation.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols.
- Coordinate patient flow, room utilization, and staffing coverage to support efficient clinic operations.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Provide patient education, triage, and follow-up care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and policy development.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical, ambulatory, or outpatient setting preferred.
- Prior leadership, charge nurse, or preceptor experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage clinical priorities while supporting team development.
Licenses/Certificates
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS and PALS preferred, based on clinic scope.
