Salary$21.96 - $32.94 Hourly ($45,680 - $68,520 Annually
). This position is a Pay Band C5.
Incumbent will provide services related to all electrical work within the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI).
How it is doneIncumbent duties may include but are not limited to checking electrical panels for loose connections on terminals, maintenance on electrical equipment located in all buildings throughout the campus, and checking electrical disconnects and fuses for proper amperage.

Ideal Candidate- Experience with electrical.
- Experience with ground keeping.
- Experience with operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as forklift.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) months of experience, maintaining and repairing existing electrical systems, in addition to the minimum experience requirement for journeyman electrician certificate, to include wiring, equipment, and/or fixtures in accordance with applicable currently adopted New Mexico Electric Code. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience.
Must be journeyman certified in accordance with Construction Industries Division licensing, 60-13-1 through 60-13-59; 14.6.3.1 through 14.6.3.9 NMAC; 14.6.4.1 through 14.6.4.8; and 14.6.6.1 through 14.6.6.14, as applicable.
Must possess a current driver's license and defensive driving certificate.
Working ConditionsWork is performed both indoor and outdoor in inclement weather conditions. May be required to work weekends, holidays, shift work, and overtime as needed.
