Engineering & HSE Director

Experteer Overview In this role you lead the Engineering & Maintenance function at a key pharmaceutical site, driving maintenance excellence, capital planning, and site safety. You will steer cross‑functional projects from concept to execution, ensure GMP/EHS compliance, and implement sustainable maintenance and digitalization programs. You enable reliable operations and continuous improvement while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This is a chance to shape a sterile manufacturing hub within a global contract provider and impact patient health.

Retribuzione / Benefits Lead and organize the Engineering & Maintenance department, including budgeting and investments.

Coordinate project delivery for new departments and area modifications across all lifecycle phases, ensuring URS, GMP, and EHS compliance.

Drive sustainable maintenance programs for equipment, utilities, buildings, and facilities with continuous improvement and GEP.Monitor site utilities and resources (electricity, gas, water) for regulatory compliance, energy efficiency, and digitalization.

Oversee corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs for production machines and GMP utilities.

Supervise general services, with or without external partners.

Define, execute, monitor, and maintain the Capital Master Plan.

ResponsabilitàEngineering degree.
10‑15 years in managerial roles in Maintenance/Engineering and Equipment Qualification in pharma settings (ISPE, GEP).Extensive technical knowledge of heating/cooling, sterile equipment, and OSD manufacturing equipment.

Experience with brownfield/greenfield expansions, preferably in sterile manufacturing.

Knowledge of local/national EHS laws and regulations.

Experience with Lean methodologies (Six Sigma, TPM, 5S).CDMO pharma manufacturing experience is a plus.

Fluent in English and Italian.
