Job SummaryOur Latrobe facility specializes in the manufacturing of medical injection molding and is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Process Engineering team to support our Operations Engineering team with high‑level process development, validation, tool verification, sampling, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in launching new products, optimizing processes, and ensuring world‑class performance across our injection molding operations.
Roleand
Duties include:
- Drive process development with expert knowledge of injection molding, process control, machine capability, material behavior, and tool functionality.
- Schedule, coordinate, and execute all mold samplings for validation: initial tool trials, DOE runs, confirmation runs, and qualification activities.
- Serve as the primary troubleshooter during new product qualification and confirmation runs, solving machine, tool, and process issues.
- Develop and document process parameters, ensuring accurate and complete technical documentation for each project.
- Collaborate daily with Process Engineers, Tooling teams, Project Leads, and production scheduling to align priorities and timelines.
- Manage and communicate sampling schedules, press availability, and project priorities.
- Travel to tool shops and Technimark manufacturing sites to support initial tool samplings and validation activities.
- Maintain accurate reports, including process data, setup sheets, tool schematics, hot‑runner configurations, and sampling documentation.
- Support early production and PQ builds with process setups, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Champion a safe, clean working environment and uphold Technimark’s world‑class manufacturing standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of hands‑on injection molding experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, troubleshooting, auxiliary equipment, and tooling.
- Experience with GD&T, process documentation, and structured methods of work.
- Strong understanding of DOE methodology and process validation practices.
- Ability to travel for tool trials and cross‑facility support.
- Exceptional communication, time‑management, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
