The Permissions Lead will lead the coordination of permissions delivery within a DEECA region and work collaboratively to inform and deliver permissioning reform across the Conservation Regulator.
A key leadership position within the Regional Regulatory Operations Unit, this position works with the Manager Regulatory Operations and Regulatory Program Manager to deliver effective and efficient regional permissions on a risk basis. Key activities of the position include evaluating permissions to determine assessment needs, ensuring a sound case management approach to permissioning work and supporting a risk-based approach to compliance monitoring.
As well as undertaking permissioning assessments, the position will work with the Manager Regulatory Operations and the permissions reform team to identify opportunities for permissions reform, assist in designing reforms and supporting effective implementation at the regional level.
- Knowledge and understanding of conservation regulatory legislation, policy and the planning and delivery of compliance
- A Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or an equivalent qualification) and/or experience in the application of environmental regulation is highly desirable.
