Overview
Radiologic Technologist - Flex - Part Time at GoHealth Urgent Care. The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This flex role travels to multiple centers during one shift to provide on-the-go RT coverage. Minimum hourly rate starts at $26/hour and is commensurate with experience. Bonus potential of up to $600/month.
Responsibilities- The Radiologic Technologist (RT) performs x-ray procedures under the direction of medical providers to assist in diagnosis for patients from newborn to elderly.
- Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients and report results to Medical Providers.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers; collaborate with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients.
- Flex RT – Travels to multiple centers during one shift to provide on-the-go RT coverage.
- Patient Registration: secure required paperwork and insurance documentation, verify insurance and patient eligibility; process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center; coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist; answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status.
- Patient Preparation and Rooming: inform technical staff of patient flow; prepare patients for examination, interview to verify information, record medical history, confirm purpose of visit; perform preliminary physical checks (vital signs) and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
- Point of care testing as needed (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide patient information to the provider.
- Stocking: maintain exam rooms, front desk and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies; maintain supply inventory and expiration dates.
- Administrative: maintain medical records and scanning; answer calls and mail; ensure reception is well maintained; conduct courtesy follow-ups for patient care; perform opening and closing duties including cash handling and securing the building.
- Operate and document daily controls, calibrate equipment, and maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs; troubleshoot breakdowns and submit repair tickets as needed.
- Education:
High School Diploma required; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program. - Licenses/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire (ARC or AHA);
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire;
State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required at time of hire (if applicable by state law). - Experience:
Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
