Caregivers responsibilities (snapshot)
As a Caregiver you will be responsible for assisting the client in aspects of their daily life as is indicated by their care plan. Caregivers have an important role in allowing our clients to maintain their independence. Caregivers are provided training and tools to be successful in their role, including training on the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and are provided access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training are also provided to all interested caregivers as Professional Development.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- A High School diploma or GED is required
- Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager
- Completion of Caregiver Orientation
- Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
