American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/PCU position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior cardiac telemetry experience.
Requirements- Active PA or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry/PCU required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral/PICC line care, and blood product administration required
- Experience managing respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required
- Experience with cardiac drip management and titration preferred
- SSN, DOB, and RTO must be provided for consideration
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting providing cardiac telemetry care
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- 3x12 rotating day and night shift schedule (7:00-19:30 / 19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- May be required to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
- Cerner charting system experience preferred
- Provide bedside nursing care for cardiac telemetry and progressive care patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
- Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
- All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
- Located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, offering access to the Laurel Highlands and nearby Pittsburgh
