Do you have post graduate NHS clinical experience in x-ray imaging, and would like the opportunity to run your own x-ray department day-to-day?
We invite you to join our friendly team in University Hospitals Plymouth Trust, at our peripheral imaging unit at Launceston Hospital, Cornwall. Launceston is the ancient capital of Cornwall, full of independent shops, cafes and examples of early architecture, including Launceston Castle.
Launceston X-Ray department is an integral part of Launceston Hospital, providing an imaging service to the wards, Minor Injuries Unit, Out Patients and GP referrals, operating 0830 - 1700 Sunday to Friday.
Applications are welcomed from diagnostic radiographers with post graduate experience within X-Ray (plain film) to include sound proven clinical knowledge of the modality. As a Senior Radiographer you would be expected to provide clinical excellence, leadership and teaching, working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will oversee the day to day running of the Imaging department and liaise with the GP Lead Radiographer and others within the Trust in regard to clinical governance.
Please note this is a maternity cover post until August 2027.

Main duties of the job Senior Radiographer - Launceston HospitalAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer to join our imaging team as a Senior Radiographer at Launceston Hospital. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HCPC registered Radiographer with post graduate NHS experience to deliver a high quality, effective and efficient radiographic service to the highest professional standard. You'll play an important role in patient care, so you should be positive, adaptable, and work to high standards to ensure the Trust maintains its good reputation.
Launceston Imaging department is one of 6 peripheral sites that come under UHPT; where you will work autonomously (within a job share) running the day-to-day imaging service.
Due to the nature of the role previous demonstrable experience in a large clinical setting is essential.
