General Practice Nurse Clinic

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional primary care clinic sessions across Launceston
. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, giving you the opportunity to manage routine primary care nursing activity with autonomy and consistency.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures. Each service provides clear protocols to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic

• NMC-registered Nurse with primary care experience
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Strong treatment room competency
• Confident working independently within GP settings
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or Systm One
• Enhanced DBS

• Fully flexible sessional work
• Options across weekdays, evenings or weekends
• Ad-hoc or ongoing opportunities depending on availability
