Job description: CSG is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join an effort supporting Desktop and Enclave Services (DES).
DES is part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization and supports a transformation and modernization effort across the enterprise. DES provides development, delivery, and sustainment of physical and virtual non-corporate enterprise desktop computing solutions across Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret domains, including hardware and software patching, deployment, and asset baselining for VDI, Trusted Thin Client, thick clients, thin clients, laptops, and other mobile devices for enclave, customer-specific, and High Value Assets (HVA).
Responsibilities- Perform network services from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of existing networks.
- Analyze design, specifications, and related documents.
- Administer LAN/CAN/WAN networks; schedule conversions and cutovers.
- Translate business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and orders.
- Conduct engineering analysis of telecommunications options in support of modernization efforts.
- Assist end users, operations personnel, and program management with network interfaces.
- Participate in the design, integration, deployment, testing, and maintenance of network devices and architectures.
- Configure and optimize networks to connect front-end and back-end components.
- Gather data to specify performance and interface requirements.
- Implement network solutions to support server requirements, including load-balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, traffic shaping, VoIP, GRE tunneling, IPSec, IP encryption, MoIP, and NAT where appropriate.
- Maintain network diagrams and accreditations; oversee network equipment support.
- Develop network designs to meet partner requirements and manage assigned tasks with guidance to junior engineers.
- Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 and DoD/IC regulations.
- Resolve complex network problems using analyzers and test equipment; lead large installation projects with dynamic requirements.
- Develop algorithms for networking/telecommunications models and systems.
- Certification: IAT, L3;
Cisco certification with CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE - Education +
Experience:
Masters Degree + 10 years, or Bachelors Degree + 12 years, or No Degree + 15 years of network experience
