Our Wireless Cyber Capabilities team focuses on providing the U.S. military and intelligence communities with operational advantages by leveraging software-defined radios, commercial cellular equipment, and machine learning to develop advanced capabilities for research and operational prototypes. Our engineers apply cutting-edge research to meet government challenges in the following areas:

• Signals Intelligence
• Wireless Cyber Access
• Resilient Communications

• Be part of a team that leverages wireless communications expertise, software defined radios (SDR), and radio frequency machine learning (RFML) to own the communications environment.
• Collaborate with a broad team of wireless communications engineers and software developers to implement wireless communication technology solutions.
• Be exposed to a variety of projects and encouraged to explore technical focus areas of interest.

• Have a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Knowledge of signals & systems or wireless communication concepts
• Knowledge of software design patterns in languages such as Python, C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, or MATLAB
• Ability to obtain Interim Top Secret security clearance by start date and eventually Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols or systems (Wi-Fi, Cellular 4G-LTE/5G-/NextG, SATCOM)
• Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) and Fourier analysis
• Knowledge of software defined radio (SDR) frameworks such as GNU Radio
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensor Flow

Pay information The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skill level. Minimum Rate: $85,000 Annually;
Maximum Rate: $155,000 Annually.
