Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading-edge information technologies and methodologies in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our team provides comprehensive network connectivity services, including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management, and network security for the global enterprise. We also offer systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transitioning legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.
Duties include, but are not limited to: designing and planning network communication systems; providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; conducting cost/benefit analyses; selecting hardware and software, and implementing solutions that meet current and future capacity needs; testing network designs; monitoring hardware operations; planning network upgrades; advising users on hardware requirements; and evaluating new communication technologies to enhance network capabilities.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of IT-related experience. An additional five (5) years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience in architecting solutions for the Intelligence Community, including IP routing, addressing, multicast, QOS, and encryptors.
- Experience with WAN boundary integration and Red/Black WAN design.
- Ability to develop network architectures, test plans, and conduct testing.
- Capability to provide technical guidance and manage complex IT solutions.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Salary Range Estimate: $146,000 - $234,000. This range is indicative of the typical salary for this role, which may include bonuses, incentives, and other rewards. Peraton offers a comprehensive benefits package.
