Job Description
Hill International is seeking a QA Inspector in Laurel, Maryland.
Responsibilities- Monitor and report on daily construction activities and quality performance, and complete a daily inspection report.
- Help implement the Quality Management program, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate third‑party testing and inspections, review resulting reports and testing results.
- Document and communicate quality issues to project stakeholders.
- Maintain non‑conforming work log and track resolution.
- Track progress against project milestones.
- Review Pay Application pencil copies to verify billed work completion.
- Serve as liaison between the Contractor and Owner team for site coordination.
- Monitor compliance with contract requirements.
- Verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Support environmental compliance efforts.
- Assist with coordination of permit inspections.
- 7+ years of experience in construction quality management or inspection.
- On‑site experience with occupied renovation type projects.
- Understanding of quality assurance best practices and USACE 3‑phase inspection process.
- Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with standard office software and construction management tools.
- Experience with commercial construction projects is a plus.
- Experience with environmental compliance a plus.
- Construction quality certifications beneficial (CQM, ICC, etc.).
- Must work full‑time on‑site in Laurel, MD.
