Summary:
Assist providers, patients, and co‑workers in providing a pleasant and efficient environment. Show respect to everyone at all times.
- Full time Monday-Friday; one weekend per month
- Perform vital signs on patients.
- Elicit a brief history on all patients.
- Perform diagnostic tests and routine labs as ordered.
- Assist the provider with all follow‑ups on patient labs and x‑rays or other testing, and document in the patient’s record.
- Administer medications and collect specimens as ordered.
- Perform scheduling/referrals as needed.
- Provide patients with a clinical care summary after every visit.
- Perform patient education as needed.
- Maintain inventory of patient literature, educational material and other copied items.
- Maintain a clean and well‑stocked clinical area; report to the clinic manager when supplies are needed.
- Maintain clinical proficiencies as needed.
- Answer phones as needed.
- Maintain OSHA, CLIA, immunization, and supply order records.
- Provide logistics support as needed or requested.
- Keep updated as instructed by the office manager on insurance‑related issues.
- Follow the established policies of the Jasper County After Hours Clinic at all times.
- Demonstrate the mission/vision of the Jasper County After Hours Clinic during work activities.
- Education:
Current LPN License in the State of Mississippi. - Experience:
One‑year experience in a medical office preferred. - CPR certification required within 3 months of employment at employee’s cost, and must be kept current with Jasper County After Hours Clinic.
- Obtain TB certification when applicable and keep it up to date.
- Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work as a team member and without direct supervision; proficient with medical support skills; knowledge of state and federal requirements in health care; ability to use a computer; courteous and polite when working with public and fellow associates; demonstrates good communication skills.
