Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 9826

Job Description

Entry level sales and driver roles supporting the DIY business and delivering parts to commercial customers. Positions may be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Salesperson

Provides a superior selling experience for DIY customers via in‑store visits and phone calls. Supports store sales goals, delivers DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.), and maintains product and operational standards. Handles inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts and back‑stock.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers via in‑store and phone
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its sales objectives
  • Deliver DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards
  • Responsible for inventory processes: truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
  • General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience

2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Store Driver

Entry level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with task and inventory processes. Must be fleet safety certified.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
  • General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability

Essential

Physical Demands

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, able to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel items, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work

Environment

Mostly indoors, occasionally outdoors exposed to weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
