Operations Manager

- Reports directly to the department director.
- Plans work operations, sets priorities, sets deadlines, and establishes goals for buildings and grounds staff.
- Participates in a limited capacity for budget preparation and monitoring.
- Participates in the recruitment and hiring process of new staff.
- Oversees daily facility operations.
- Ensures buildings are secure and routine inspections are being performed.
- Maintains compliance with building codes.
- Schedules inspections, maintenance and repairs.
- Provides training for staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to keep staff up to date
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree and three (3) years’ experience in business management, facilities management or civil engineering;
- or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Pesticide Applicators License required
- Energy Management Diploma preferred
- Construction Management Diploma preferred
Criminal records check, drug screen, and references will be required for the successful candidate.
