Public Buildings Supervisor

• Reports directly to the department director.
• Plans work operations, sets priorities, sets deadlines, and establishes goals for buildings and grounds staff.
• Participates in a limited capacity for budget preparation and monitoring.
• Participates in the recruitment and hiring process of new staff.
• Oversees daily facility operations.
• Ensures buildings are secure and routine inspections are being performed.
• Maintains compliance with building codes.
• Schedules inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Provides training for staff and conducts performance evaluations.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to keep staff up to date
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate Degree and three (3) years’ experience in business management, facilities management or civil engineering;
• or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Pesticide Applicators License required
• Energy Management Diploma preferred
• Construction Management Diploma preferred
