Responsibilities- Provides advanced, professional casework for children
- Conducts regular fieldwork (home visits, school visits) and contacts collateral sources to gather information
- Ensure child safety, wellbeing, and permanency
- Assesses service needs, makes referrals, and advocates for children and families
- Manages caseload in timely manner
- Completes required assessments, reports, service agreements, medical, and financial documentation
- Documents all case activity accurately and on time, communicates safety concerns promptly to supervisors
- Prepares reports for Permanency Planning Reviews, Child and Family Team Meetings, and court proceedings; testifies in juvenile court
- Maintains workload documentation (case dictation, daysheets, travel reimbursement)
- Met all DHHS policy and timeframe standards
- Provides periodic on-call coverage with 24/7 availability; responds to abuse, neglect, and dependency reports
- Identifies risk and implements safety interventions during on-call duties
- Performs other duties as assigned, including shelter duty
- Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work
- Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only)
- Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience
- Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience
Criminal records check, drug screen, and references will be required for the successful candidate.
