Social Worker III - Foster Care

• Provides advanced, professional casework for children
• Conducts regular fieldwork (home visits, school visits) and contacts collateral sources to gather information
• Ensure child safety, wellbeing, and permanency
• Assesses service needs, makes referrals, and advocates for children and families
• Manages caseload in timely manner
• Completes required assessments, reports, service agreements, medical, and financial documentation
• Documents all case activity accurately and on time, communicates safety concerns promptly to supervisors
• Prepares reports for Permanency Planning Reviews, Child and Family Team Meetings, and court proceedings; testifies in juvenile court
• Maintains workload documentation (case dictation, daysheets, travel reimbursement)
• Met all DHHS policy and timeframe standards
• Provides periodic on-call coverage with 24/7 availability; responds to abuse, neglect, and dependency reports
• Identifies risk and implements safety interventions during on-call duties
• Performs other duties as assigned, including shelter duty

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work
• Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only)
• Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience
• Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience
• Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience
