Program Manager at the EPFL AI Center and the Swiss National AI Institute
The EPFL AI Center focuses on advancing research, education and innovation in AI. It is at the core of a vibrant EPFL community and dynamic external ecosystem that includes a large number of partners and stakeholders in AI, including academia, industry, government, and international organisations. We are looking for a dynamic program manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives and academic programs in close coordination with the Swiss National AI Institute leadership and the EPFL AI Center.
Mainduties and responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives and research programs in EPFL AI Center and Swiss National AI Institute.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of projects, coordinating with EPFL researchers, SwissAI Principal Investigators, local stakeholders, and ETHZ AI Center.
- Drive stakeholder engagement with academia, industry and politics through events.
- Develop and manage the broader SwissAI initiative program portfolio, including running Call for Proposals processes.
- Promote the EPFL AI Center and Swiss National AI Institute, manage partner network and build ecosystem in Switzerland and beyond.
- Degree in science (Master or Doctorate) with in-depth understanding of entrepreneurial or project management processes and solid scientific expertise, ideally in AI.
- Passion for AI.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, thriving in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Proven track record of project management and its underlying methodologies and techniques.
- Proactive, problem‑solving mindset and ability to manage uncertainty.
- Desire to create wider impact through your work.
- Familiarity with research and education sectors.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English and French.
