IMD is expanding its faculty on the main campus in Lausanne, Switzerland, and invites applications for the position of Professor of Marketing. Candidates should be world‑class scholars, thought leaders in their field, and possess a global mindset with experience engaging senior executives.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver executive‑level teaching programs, including curriculum design and pedagogical innovation.
- Lead research in one of the core marketing domains – B2B marketing, marketing strategy, brand management, customer centricity, digital marketing, global marketing, marketing analytics and AI, marketing management, or consumer research – and publish in top peer‑reviewed academic and practitioner journals.
- Engage with clients to tailor program and advisory opportunities that address real‑world business challenges.
- Contribute to peer development, institution building, and governance as an active faculty citizen.
- Maintain a collaborative, collegial environment that emphasizes teamwork.
- At least at the Associate Professor level and preferably with a doctoral degree from a well‑regarded research institution.
- Established research profile with publications in respected peer‑reviewed journals.
- Strong teaching record, including at least three years of executive education, and a commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.
- Experience engaging senior executives to navigate shifting markets, build customer‑centric strategies, and drive sustainable growth.
- Fluency in English; experience living or working in multiple countries is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
