Environmental Consultant

Overview

ERM is a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, social consulting services and sustainability related services. ERM Swiss GmbH seeks an Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Switzerland. In this role you will support the Swiss team in contaminated site investigations and remediation of subsoil and groundwater, and coordinate subcontractors.

• Investigate contaminated sites, evaluate remediation strategies and implement remediation.
• Plan and execute field work, including drilling supervision and groundwater sampling.
• Coordinate subcontractors and process data.
• Prepare reports and offers.
• Engage in internal specialist events (Technical Community Calls) and training courses.
• Plan and monitor occupational safety, and prevent accidents or health damage.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or environmental engineering.
• Basic knowledge of Swiss environmental legislation (Contaminated Sites Ordinance, Water / Soil / Air Protection Ordinances, Waste Ordinance, Ordinance on Transport of Hazardous Waste, etc.).
• Independent, structured, conscientious and goal‑oriented work style.
• Team player with strong work ethic.
• Motivated for field work (drilling supervision, groundwater sampling, etc.).
• Fluency in French and English (at least C2 level). Good to very good knowledge of German or Italian is an advantage.
• Flexible and willing to travel (primarily Switzerland and sometimes neighboring countries).
