We are partnering with an innovative life‑science company redefining molecular identification to accelerate patient‑focused drug development and diagnostics. This Switzerland‑based leadership role offers the chance to shape laboratory operations and data workflows in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all laboratory operations, including method development, scheduling, capacity planning, vendor management, inventory, and safety.
  • Run end‑to‑end metabolomics workflows (sample intake to LC‑MS(/MS)/IMS, QA/QC, reporting) for targeted and untargeted studies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of scientists, driving speed, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Translate partner goals into actionable lab plans and communicate progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Oversee Jira‑based project management and maintain accurate ELNs.
  • Direct biomarker discovery programs and ensure timely, high‑quality results.
  • Advance molecular identification pipelines and collaborate with internal technology teams.
  • Build quality systems and SOPs to support transition toward GLP.
  • Define data standards and integrate analytical tools with scripting (R/Python).
  • Maximize instrument uptime through maintenance, automation, and DoE‑based optimization.
Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years managing mass‑spectrometry labs in fast‑paced CRO, pharma, or biotech settings.
  • Strong command of metabolomics tools (MS‑DIAL, XCMS, Skyline, Mass Hunter) and R/Python.
  • Expertise in untargeted workflows and targeted quantification.
  • Proven biomarker discovery and metabolite identification experience.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, audits, and GLP transitions.
  • Structured, proactive mindset; comfortable with Jira and ELN/LIMS.
  • Based on site in Lausanne, Switzerland.
What We Offer
  • The chance to solve a critical challenge in translational science: reliable molecular identification and actionable biomarkers.
  • Collaboration with leading hospitals, biotech, and pharma on projects with direct patient impact.
  • High autonomy, rapid learning, and clear visibility of your contributions.
  • Competitive compensation package, with attractive benefits.
