Data architect consultant - Core Banking

As a Data Architect – Banking, your main roles and responsibilities will cover various activities and engagements such as:

• Work with our Clients (major banking groups) to define their data strategy, vision, needs and architecture
• Design relevant and efficient processes and solutions to serve and improve their banking operations
• Manage projects and roadmap to support the Core Banking transformation and data strategy
• Define guidelines for managing data across the organisation, in particular around Core Banking data
• Implement new data solutions (Data Hub, Analytics, PMS…) in a strong ROI approach

• Knowledge of best practices (organization, processes, solutions) in Data Architecture within the banking sector
• Define the Data architecture within the framework of the various activities around Data Governance and the Data Platform (Integration, Management and Transformation)
• Strong knowledge of Core Banking systems, ideally Temenos (T24/Transact) PMS (Portfolio Management System), including its data model, parametrization and integration flows
• Design canonical models by consolidating the various business & IT needs, including Core Banking, Payments, Risk and Finance domains
• Data modelling expertise: dimension vs. fact classification, SCD1/SCD2/snapshot strategies, natural business key selection, grain definition — ideally with exposure to a dimensional modelling methodology (Kimball or similar)
• Implementing patterns related to data security in partnership with the CISO
• Ensure data interoperability between Core Banking (Temenos) and the different systems of the company, including via APIs and event-driven architecture (Kafka, Enterprise Integration Patterns)
• Support Data Stewards and Data Engineers in data mapping and transformation activities, particularly on Temenos/Core Banking data flows
• Analytics & Data Platform: experience with Microsoft Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Power BI service…) and/or Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, PySpark)
• Hands-on experience (SQL) and can-do attitude
• Data Hub: MDM, Anonymisation, Data Quality (completeness, uniqueness, validity, referential integrity…)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices (e.g. Azure Dev Ops) and configuration/declarative-driven data pipeline patterns
• Practical, critical use of AI-based tools (including vibe coding / natural-language driven development) to accelerate design, documentation and analysis
• Strong project Management experience (Agile / Waterfall), ideally within Core Banking implementation or migration projects
• Strong knowledge of Functional, IT and Data architecture best practices in the banking industry
• Communication and presentation skills (especially with Business & IT managers)
• Leadership, Rigorousness and Autonomy
