For our Media&Communication department, we are looking for French Financial Translator 50%, 6 to 12 months.

• translating and editing the entire range of banking- and finance-related texts, especially content relating to the legal aspects of finance, from German and occasionally English into French
• playing a driving role in the team’s current translation-tech projects, under the guidance of the team head
• helping coordinate our operations, including workflows, budgets, collaborations with external providers, etc.

• native speaker of French (i.e., formative years in a French-speaking country up through first university degree)
• fluent in German and at least good working knowledge of English
• relevant academic qualifications: preferably a degree in translation with a concentration in translation tech, and ideally post-graduate qualifications specifically in translation tech
• extremely good hands-on knowledge of translation apps and translation memory (TM) databases, extending beyond mere “use-of” familiarity to include demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving and compatibility
• experience and/or training in the field of financial translation in general and banking in particular, as well as knowledge of legal translation (DE>

• a results-oriented, “drive-to-deliver” attitude, including a demonstrated ability to hit delivery-date targets, not just on individual translation jobs but also on larger projects, most notably tech
• good organizational and project-management skills and the ability to work autonomously when necessary
