As a Statistics and Data Science Specialist at Nestlé Research, your mission is to apply advanced statistics and data science to accelerate scientific discovery and innovation across our product portfolio. • Designing robust lab and pilot experiments that generate reliable evidence and accelerate scientific progress.
• Analysing complex experimental data to uncover actionable insights, quantify uncertainty, and strengthen decision‑making.
• Collaborating across scientific and technical teams to refine hypotheses and integrate data‑driven thinking into innovation projects.
• Translating statistical outputs into clear recommendations that guide formulation, process, and product development choices.
• Building visualisations and models that make complex findings accessible to diverse stakeholders and project teams.
• Driving innovation by applying advanced analytics to support better products, smarter decisions, and faster learning cycles.

• Bringing a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science.
• Applying hands‑on experience in mathematics‑based data collection methodologies to generate robust experimental data.
• Using hands‑on expertise in statistical inference, statistical modelling techniques, optimisation algorithms, and machine-learning techniques to solve scientific challenges.
• Bringing proficiency in Python programming, with knowledge of R as a plus, and proven experience in data‑driven modelling for product design, particularly in food or related consumer products, as a plus.
• Communicating fluently in English.
• Bringing collaboration, fresh thinking, bold questions, respect, and a positive, wellbeing‑oriented mindset.
