Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Technician actively collaborates on accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as invoicing.
Main responsibilities
Invoicing and accounts receivable:
- Prepare invoices in accordance with contracts, track payments and accounts receivable.
Accounts payable:
- Verify supplier invoices, ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, enter data into the accounting system, and make payments.
Month-end procedures:
- Government reports, bank reconciliations, account analysis, and assistance with the preparation of month-end financial statements.
Year-end procedures:
- Assist in preparing files for auditors.
All other related tasks.
Academic background and experience
- Technical diploma or vocational training certificate in accounting;
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel;
- Knowledge of Netsuite (an asset);
- Attention to detail, structured approach, and analytical mind;
- Teamwork skills;
- Bilingualism (French and English).
