Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Technician actively collaborates on accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as invoicing.

Main responsibilities

Invoicing and accounts receivable:

  • Prepare invoices in accordance with contracts, track payments and accounts receivable.

Accounts payable:

  • Verify supplier invoices, ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, enter data into the accounting system, and make payments.

Month-end procedures:

  • Government reports, bank reconciliations, account analysis, and assistance with the preparation of month-end financial statements.

Year-end procedures:

  • Assist in preparing files for auditors.

All other related tasks.

Academic background and experience

  • Technical diploma or vocational training certificate in accounting;
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel;
  • Knowledge of Netsuite (an asset);
  • Attention to detail, structured approach, and analytical mind;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
