Responsible for supporting corporate accounting activities by preparing journal entries, recording financial transactions, and producing accurate financial reports and reconciliations. The role contributes to budgeting and forecasting cycles while providing analysis and reporting support to internal stakeholders. It also ensures proper accounting treatment of international and closed entities.
Responsibilities- Produce accounting entries
- Identify necessary provisions for accounting procedures
- Register financial accounting transactions for our Head Office
- Generate financial reports and reconciliations
- Participate in analysis of corporate activities and support managers as well as develop special reports requested by internal customers
- Be involved in quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation
- Maintain full accounting view of international and closed entities
- Interest in acquiring new skills and ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Customer oriented
- Proactive, resourceful and autonomous
- Good team member
- Organized and detail oriented
- Titular or in process of obtaining a university degree in accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting position
- Professional designation is an asset
- Good knowledge of GAAP
- Valuable experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) is an asset
- Bilingual (written and spoken) in French and English
