AboutThe Role
The Cement Major Market Manager manages, develops and executes a business strategy for key accounts in a designated territory of the province of Quebec. The Cement Major Market Manager will achieve sales targets by building and cultivating strong customer relationships, understanding and driving market dynamics, and creating business and pipeline opportunities within its market. The Cement Major Market Manager is responsible for providing quality service to Amrize’s customers by working closely with technical support and supply chain and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in sales efficiency.
WhatYou’ll Accomplish
- Executes strategic business actions and develops individual account plans in conjunction with the General Manager, Sales.
- Manages relationships and sales projects to drive revenue growth.
- Achieves sales targets by maintaining and strengthening existing relationships and establishing new ones.
- Creates effective monthly sales forecasts, including backlog and comparisons to previous periods to assess risk/likelihood of meeting targets (volume, price, gross profit).
- Is responsible for market intelligence to build strong relationships with key existing and potential customers.
- Interacts with the clients' main decision-makers to understand and influence the choice to use Amrize Cement products.
- Negotiates and delivers cement prices and volumes to budgeted levels or higher.
- Proactively creates and executes growth and/or optimization opportunities for the current client portfolio to maximize EBITDA and margin.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promotes a culture of safety and exhibits these behaviours.
- Education:
Bachelor’s. - Field of Study Preferred:
Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree preferred. - Required
Work Experience:
10 years of sales or related experience, preferably in the cement & Construction materials industry. - Required Technical
Skills:
Deep understanding of the cement or construction materials market. - Travel Requirements: 50% travel, 10% overnight.
- Fluent French speaking/writing language skills are a requirement
- English speaking/writing language skills are an asset.
- Experience in logistics, technical or operations related fields considered an asset.
- Strong relational skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Can influence without authority and possesses managerial courage.
- Proactive, organized and results oriented self-starter with high level of energy and drive.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
