Position is located in a commercial dental laboratory.

• Prepare plaster models and moulds
• Mould wax over dentures set‑up
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
• Finish metal framework of dentures
• Prepare wax bite‑blocks and impression trays
• Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
• Polish and buff dentures

Education:

College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Experience:

1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience in a dental laboratory setting.

Technical expertise: plastering, packing, waxing‑up, casting, polishing, assembly.

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Outlook, MS Word, equipment, systems and controls experience.

Work setting:
Commercial dental laboratory.

Physical demands:
Repetitive manual tasks, tight deadlines, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, combination of sitting, standing, walking, hand‑eye coordination.
