Mihkoskiwakak Nehiyawak Education Authority is seeking dedicated and committed teachers to join our teams at Mamawe Awasisak Elementary School and John William Head Memorial Education Centre. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong instructional practices, a commitment to student learning, and the ability to work collaboratively within a school community that values Cree culture, language, and holistic education.

Reporting to the School Principal, the Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction through the development of unit plans, lesson plans, and engaging classroom activities. The position requires creating a well-rounded and comprehensive instructional program that supports student success, well-being, and culturally responsive learning.
Establish and maintain positive classroom management practices, while monitoring and evaluating student academic progress, behavior, and well-being.
Differentiate instruction by adapting teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs, interests, and learning styles.
Foster a collaborative and respectful learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and multiple perspectives.
Participate in and support Cree cultural programming, land-based learning, and community activities, while upholding MNEA policies and professional standards.
