Academic Advisor at Columbia College

Columbia College seeks an Academic Advisor for a 6-month contract role starting mid-August. Support student achievement and persistence while collaborating with faculty and departments across the campus.

In this contract position, you will provide academic advising and connect students with resources to ensure their success. You'll support enrollment initiatives and identify barriers to academic achievement while helping students navigate program requirements and graduation criteria. This role requires a proactive approach to student engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic advising on course selection

• Assist in developing personalized educational plans

• Identify and support students experiencing challenges

• Collaborate with faculty on student progress monitoring

• Participate in recruitment and orientation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Minimum three years of academic advising experience

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Knowledge of student information systems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
