Building Energy Modeler (eQUEST Specialist) – Mid to Senior Level

Location: On-site role in Quebec

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Language Requirement: Fluent in English & French

About the Opportunity:

We are partnering with a multidisciplinary consulting firm that supports real estate, engineering, and building performance initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Due to continued growth, the team is looking to hire both a mid-level and senior Building Energy Modeler with strong expertise in eQUEST to support energy modeling, performance analysis, and reporting across commercial and multi-residential projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze building energy models using eQUEST
  • Perform baseline vs. proposed simulations for commercial and multi-residential projects
  • Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation
  • Support projects tied to energy efficiency and financing programs (e.g., CMHC MLI Select)
  • Review drawings and technical documentation to inform modeling inputs
  • Collaborate with internal teams on project delivery
  • Ensure accuracy, formatting, and quality of reports in both English and French

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years (mid-level) or 5+ years (senior) experience in energy modeling
  • Strong hands-on experience with eQUEST (required)
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, or multi-residential buildings
  • Understanding of ASHRAE 90.1 and energy modeling fundamentals
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable working on-site in Quebec

Assets:

  • Experience with CMHC MLI Select, LEED, or similar programs
  • Background in Mechanical/Building Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Consulting experience or client-facing project work
