In this role, you will report to the Director of Thin Film Engineering while collaborating with design engineers and technicians. Key tasks include developing, optimizing, and maintaining deposition processes using ion beam and electron beam techniques. Your expertise will help in troubleshooting and characterizing coating processes, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize optical thin film deposition processes
• Resolve technical issues with engineers and technicians
• Characterize coating chamber equipment and reduce downtime
• Manage defects and implement root cause solutions
• Document processes and train technicians on maintenance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Materials Science, Physics or Engineering
• 3-5 years experience in thin film manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Excellent communication abilities
