Join Cache Fly as the Lead Engineer for Operations, where your technical leadership will directly impact our CDN's reliability and speed. This fully remote role combines hands-on operations with emergency incident management.
As Cache Fly's Lead Engineer, you will be pivotal in maintaining the performance and reliability of our global CDN platform. You will lead a team of elite operators, resolving complex issues and ensuring smooth operations through effective communication and problem-solving strategies. The role is designed for upward growth into formal management responsibilities with ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary technical leader for the Operations team
• Directly engage in provisioning, upgrades, and system configurations
• Lead responses during high-stakes incidents and escalations
• Maintain communication with key customers during crises
• Drive actionable improvements from incident reviews
Requirements:
• Strong Linux administration background at scale
• In-depth knowledge of HTTP and caching systems
• Proven ability to manage networking challenges
• Experience with Nginx, HAProxy, Varnish
• Proficient in at least one scripting language
